Objectives

  • Train adult educators to use the ScreenWise training content effectively (LTTA).

  • Pilot the training with parents in real settings to test feasibility and impact.

  • Collect structured feedback and refine the training to increase practicality and effectiveness.

  • Translate and finalise the improved training for multi-country rollout.

– Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA) in Slovenia.

(Outcome Indicator: 8 educators are trained on how to use the ScreenWise methodology and tools effectively with parents)

– Pilot Testing of the Training: 15 parents per country are invited to the trainings.

(Output Indicator: 60 parents are trained through multiplied trainings to test the training modules and sessions)

– Feedback Collection and Improvement: Feedback is analysed to identify strengths, gaps, and improvement needs.

LTTA in Slovenia

The 3-day training in Slovenia took place on 02–04 August 2025. Two youth workers from each partner organisation participated; all had prior experience in teaching and youth work. During the training, participants tested their national modules from the developed ScreenWise training content and implemented selected activities to gather practical feedback. The programme included interactive methods such as role plays and participant-led presentations, which helped assess clarity, usability, and relevance of the modules before piloting in local contexts.

Pilot Testing of the Training

After the Slovenia training, partners implemented the pilot phase in their countries to test the training content in real community settings. At least 15 parents per country joined local sessions aimed at helping families balance digital habits at home, especially in relation to children’s screen use. The pilot trainings included guided discussions, role plays, simulations, and personal action plan preparation, allowing parents to reflect on their routines and practise healthier responses to everyday digital challenges. Following the initial sessions, the pilot phase continued through follow-up support and practice at home, and families were further empowered to sustain the new habits and apply the learning in daily life.
